ABOUT ROCHESTER ACRO FEST
oUR mISSION
With this being our inaugural festival, our mission is to be an inclusive, fun and supportive environment no matter what type of movement is your jam. We strive to inspire connection through movement and healing through community, so that all parts of the acro yoga world are represented. Our values are represented by the teachers’ enthusiasm, skill levels, and abilities to compassionately communicate with students.
ORGANIZERS
Meet Rob Woods and Alyssa Antonelli. Rob is a lifelong resident of Rochester that started AcroYoga in 2015. Alyssa started in 2016 and moved to Rochester in 2022 with her husband, 3 dogs and 2 cats (her own personal circus!). They quickly realized they shared similar approaches to training and temperament (half Sicilians) which led to teaching together since. Hard work and boisterous laughter are always the order of the day for these two.

Do I need to have experience in AcroYoga to attend the festival?
We prefer that you have at least 6 months experience in partner acrobatics or applicable movement background. Having a solid grasp of communication, consent and spotting is important to the safety of the attendees and teachers alike. If you aren’t sure you have the necessary experience feel free to email us with any questions at rochesteracrofest@gmail.com
Can I come without a partner?
Yes you can! Part of the festivals culture and community is to connect with individuals from all walks of life to learn and grow from. Participating with or without a partner allows you to experience the festival in different ways.
What’s the difference between the intensives (Friday) and the main festival (Saturday & Sunday)?
The main festival classes (two morning and two afternoon classes) are 1.5 hours long and tend to move quicker in order to deliver all the great content. The intensive classes are 3 hours long (one morning and one afternoon class) which allow you to deep dive on the subject matter as well connect more personally with the teachers.
How do I transfer a ticket to someone else?
